David Taylor
President / Founder



Born into a humble family of fishermen in Hull, England, David is the youngest of 11 children. He became a Christian in 1988 after having had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ which radically changed his lifestyle. In 1993 he gained his degree in Applied Social Sciences at the University in Hull; later being ordained as a minister with the Assemblies of God of Great Britain & Ireland.

Rev. David Taylor studied Missiology and the Spanish language in 1996 at the Assemblies of God college in San Jose, Costa Rica, gaining diplomas in both subjects. He then spent several years as the Director of Evangelism for Teen Challenge in Guatemala.

David arrived in Colombia in 1999 where he currently resides in the city of Santa Marta with his wife Dary Luz and children, Maria Camila, Nathan James & David Hudson. David is the founder of Colombia ChildCare (UK), Colombia ChildCare International with headquarters in Orlando, Florida and the non-profit making charity Fundacion Oasis de Esperanza based in Colombia.


Carl Sconnely
Vice President

Carl Sconnely Carl brings a wealth of experience to the role of Vice President of CCCI and has an incredible compassion and desire to help underpriviledged children in Colombia. His vision is to raise sufficient support to enable CCCI to meet the basic needs of each child who comes under the auspices of the charity.

Carl Sconnely, is President of Systems 2000, Inc., President of RV123 Inc., Owner of US Jet Sales, and Vice President of the Colombia Child Care Charity Organization. He is a dealership technology writer/contributor on www.rvdailyreport.com and has been advancing dealership technology for over 30 years. Carl currently resides in Altamonte Springs, FL (North of Orlando).

Carl received his education from Choctawhatchee High School (in Ft Walton Beach Florida), University of Florida, and Florida Technical Institute. Over the past 25 years, Carl has helped RV Dealers connect with RV Buyers and sellers all over the United States, and is a strong supporter of the RV industry and lifestyle.



Chuck Cooper
Director

Chuck Cooper

Chuck Cooper is a member of Calvary Assembly in Winter Park, Florida, and has been an active member in both home and world missions for many years. Chuck brings an abundance of experience and wisdom to the CCCI board room, where, amongst other duties, he operates on a pastoral care level to David Taylor and the rest of the board members. Chuck is passionate about the work amongst the poorest of poor children of Colombia, stating that no man stands so tall as when he stoops to help a child. Born in the state of Florida, he presently resides in Longwood, Florida with his wife, Priscilla, of 45 years.



Paul Selvage
Director


Born in the UK, Paul lived and worked in Asia for over 9 years travelling extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and South America.

Now living in Chicago he's a Deacon at Hobson Road Community Church having served on the board there for the last 4 years. Married with Sara, Paul has 3 children Stefanie, Joshua, and Levi.

Currently he's a partner in Blue Cargo Group which is based in Colombia. Paul brings a wealth of experience to the Colombia ChildCare International board where his focus primarily is on future growth and development.


Cheryl Cope
Director

Cheryl Cope

Cheryl Cope was born in Charleston, West Virginia and is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God who brings a wealth of experience to the Colombia ChildCare board of directors.  She grew up in a minister's home, where her father served as a pastor and then as Superintendent of the Appalachian District of the Assemblies of God.

Feeling called to full-time ministry in the ninth grade, Cheryl made plans to attend Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. There she received a BA Degree in Sacred Music and sang in the Revivaltime Choir, the national radio voice of the Assemblies of God.  While at college, Cheryl met and married George Cope.

Cheryl's ministry has reached beyond being a minister’s wife. Her calling to sacred music has been an active part of ministry, including serving as the Minister of Music in the first two churches that she and George pastored.  She is also a gifted Bible teacher, uses her administrative skills in leadership roles, and has directed numerous church dramas.

Today, Cheryl serves alongside George, who is the Lead Pastor of Calvary Assembly in Orlando, Florida. Cheryl teaches several weekly Bible studies, as well as giving leadership to Women’s Ministries.

She is the proud mother of one daughter, Jessyca, son-in-law Greg, and the grandmother of Izzabella, Luke & Lily.


Ismael Beloso
Director


Ismael Beloso Dr. Ismael Beloso was born in Manila, Philippines in May 29th, 1976. He is the middle child in his family. In 1984, his parents, along with him and his two sisters migrated to the United States of America, were the whole family settled until today.

He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Florida Hospital East in Orlando following an internship in Pediatrics at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida after earning a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida.

Dr. Beloso is board certified in family medicine and holds a medical license in the State of Florida. In addition, Dr. Beloso also serves as a Concierge Physician with the East Coast Medical Network and a medical consultant for Moore Medical Group. He is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. As further evidence of his personal commitment to improving the quality of life for others, Dr. Beloso has donated his time and expertise while participating in medical missions to Guatemala, the Philippines and Colombia.

As a health care professional he has dedicated his life to helping others experience a more productive, healthy, personally satisfying life. In his position as an owner and Medical Director of Changes Medical Spa of Orlando, Dr. Beloso provides medical expertise to ensure scientifically advanced wellness services to patients who come from all walks of life with a variety of personal and health challenges. His patient care process is holistic, innovative and revolutionary and his mission is to help his patients experience an optimum quality of care resulting in improved quality of life.

Dr. Beloso resides in the Orlando area with his wife, Beatriz, who he met while on a medical mission in Colombia. Together they have two beautiful children, Arielle and Ismael III. Dr. Beloso is an avid songwriter and is the funder and lead singer of the Orlando based Christian band and ministry, Revolution Cry. He sings and plays the guitar and is an active member of the Grace Communion International Church. He and his wife Beatriz are part of the worship and the pastoral team. As a servant of God, Dr. Beloso has participated of ministering mission’s trips to: Colombia, Thailand and the U.K.


Beatriz Beloso
Director


Beatriz Beloso Born in Santa Marta, Colombia on January 6th, 1980, Beatriz Beloso has committed her life to Serve God and others. Beatriz is the youngest of two daughters and was brought up in a Christian family.

In 2003, Beatriz received her degree in Psychology at Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia in Santa Marta. Psychology was to her ultimately an excellent way to help people deal with diverse types of difficulties in their lives. As part of her professional preparation, she was able to emphasize her Clinical profile at GAULA Magdalena, a section of the Colombian Army, where she provided counseling to the soldiers in the division.

Doors opened for Beatriz to work at Oasis De Esperanza, assisting Reverend David Taylor in the sponsorship department, helping to bring a closer relationship between the sponsors and the children in the Colombia ChildCare programs all along the north coast of Colombia. After marrying Ismael, an American physician, Beatriz moved to the United States.

Beatriz, her husband Dr. Ismael Beloso and their two children Arielle and Ismael III reside in the Orlando area. Beatriz is a stay-home mom and she actively supports her husband’s Christian music ministry. Together they lead Revolution Cry, a worship ministry that aims to unite Christian churches. They organize worship events in different venues with the support of a network of Christian musicians, speakers and worshipers in other categories. In August 2013, they went in their first mission’s trip as a family, bringing the music ministry to the U.K.

Beatriz and her family are members of Grace Communion International Church, where she and her husband are part of the worship and the pastoral team.
